Select Auto Sales and Service was founded in 1997 by Larry and Susan Bevington. The name Select was chosen because every car was painstakingly hand-selected by Larry Bevington himself as opposed to being bought by someone who did not have their reputation on the line. The dealership started selling used cars in Frankfort KY and quickly grew to include a full service, state of the art, auto repair facility. Aptly named Select Auto Service, the dealership began offering auto service and repair on all makes and models in 2000. A short time later, Select was approached by the American Suzuki Motor Corporation about becoming a Suzuki new car dealer. It was a difficult decision, but one Larry Bevington could not pass up. Select Auto Sales became Select Suzuki in 2003.
Select Suzuki / Select Auto Service is now run by Larry and Susan's son Dan and his wife Rachelle. Dan manages the Sales Department, and Rachelle manages the Service Department.
In addition to new Suzuki vehicles, Select still specializes in hand-selected, late model, low mileage, Used Cars, and Auto Service and Repair on all makes and models.
